Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd (EHG UK) has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 Re-Certification, via lead auditor DQS Global.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) provides a set of five quality management systems (QMS) standards that help organisations ensure they meet customer and other stakeholder needs within statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service. ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organisations wishing to meet the standard must fulfil.
Re-certification is awarded on a 3-year cycle, with annual Surveillance Audits in the interim.
In this year’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Re-Certification, with advanced improvement and management systems firmly in place, Erwin Hymer Group UK has been highly praised for its investment, dedication and commitment to quality across every product and service.
Erwin Hymer Group UK’s renewed ISO 9001:2015 Certification included an in-depth audit by lead auditors, DQS Global, evaluating the Company’s leadership, planning, support, operation, performance and continual improvement, under the scope of ‘Development, manufacture and delivery of high quality leisure vehicles.’
This globally-recognised certification was awarded on 15 May by Achim Gleich and Peter Schreiner of DQS Global, accompanied by Dr Stefan Marx, Head of Quality & HSE for the Erwin Hymer Group.
Of the successful Recertification audit of Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd, Achim Gleich stated: “After the initial certification in 2021, EHG UK is improving and optimizing its existing company processes.
“The focus is not only to fulfil the requirements of the standard ISO 9001, but to improve the implemented processes with focus on quality, cost and fulfilment of legal and customer requirements.
“Since the last certification audit in 2023 there has been also big improvement in culture, using communication, leadership and process optimization methods.
“I know EHG UK and its management system, and the improvements that the Company has continued to make over the past 4 years is clear to see.

Erwin Hymer Group’s Head of Quality & HSE, Dr Stefan Marx, was also delighted with the continued improvements. Of his role accompanying external auditors DQS Global, Stefan said: “We saw significant improvements in several areas, even compared to the last successful audits - leading to this year’s successful ISO 9001 re-certification. Well done to all at EHG UK – this is a consistent team effort.”
Why is the renewal of our 9001:2015 Certification so important to us? Craig Hodgkiss, Erwin Hymer Group UK’s Quality, Engineering & Lean 6 Sigma Director explains: “ISO Certification is a globally recognised, highly structured system which provides the benchmark standard we have already attained, but wish to retain.
