ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Erwin Hymer Group UK

Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 Certification, via lead auditor DEKRA.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) provides a set of five quality management systems (QMS) standards that help organisations ensure they meet customer and other stakeholder needs within statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service. ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organisations wishing to meet the standard must fulfil.

Erwin Hymer Group UK’s renewed ISO 9001:2015 Certification included a 2-day Surveillance Audit by lead auditors, DEKRA, evaluating the Company’s leadership, planning, support, operation, performance and continual improvement.

This globally-recognised certification was awarded on 09 June by Achim Gleich on behalf of DEKRA, accompanied by Stefan Marx, Head of Quality and HSE for the Erwin Hymer Group.

With a change of leadership at Erwin Hymer Group’s UK manufacturing facility, in Consett, County Durham – led by Managing Director Chris Short – the Company is truly focused on Quality and Continual Improvement.

Erwin Hymer Group UK’s Quality team has been galvanised, strengthened with key appointments, including Craig Hodgkiss, Quality, Engineering & Lean 6 Sigma Director. Craig leads the team: Paul Haworth and Paul Ramsey, Quality Managers; Michael Hall, Manufacturing Engineering Manager; Alan Beel and Stephen Fletcher, Business Improvement Managers; and Darren Cooney, Six Sigma Lead – all supported by a team of Quality Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors, along with each and every Erwin Hymer Group colleague.
